Yes that is interesting. My takeaway is localized massage and or light reps just for blood flow

In 'theory' it makes sense.

And Jay I think I remember getting lots of massages for blood flow. The light reps part
is interesting as long as it is not misinterpreted as a light workout if I am not mistaken in
it's recommendation which sorta makes sense but may be difficult to administer in
moderation (you know how desperate bodybuilder are ;)).

Jay was turned on to it by Cormier and it spread so now it seems most everyone on a high level gets it done
 
i started with more active recovery years ago, massage, very lite weights, stretching and even some cardio
 
Piana was right all along...feeder workouts :)
 
Seems very much like common sense to me. More nutrients = better recovery. Feedersets/workouts have been around longer then I have been training. I use them most days. I do light sets for the whole body(when the gyms are open) as part of my warm up.

Am not sure 'light sets' qualify. Read the article.
 
interesting read and now that we are all home all day it's a good time to try the frequent pumping exercises.

I think it is fair to surmise that those athletes who trained high-volume in double splits back in the day benefited from this, as they would be pumped to some extent much of the day. I'm thinking everyone from Serge Nubret to Jay Cutler.
