Retatrutide

A carnivore diet devoid of fiber will undoubtedly be worse for her health compared to a Mediterranean or balanced diet.

In a perfect world where our food supply isnt micro-poisoned every step of the way I'd agree.

But for some one who is having a painful and deteriorating reaction to the food she's putting in her body, I cant say I agree with the "undoubtedly" part.

Dont really follow it any more but it used to be every day Shawn Baker posting success stories of his patients switching to carnivore essentially totally clearing RA, various skin issues, systemic inflammation issues etc.

For the record I dont think its the chemicals in the plants causing problems - just the crap farmers and food producers add.

Her RA is late stage where progression slows or halts and a lot of orthopedic interventions have already been done (e.g., joint fusions).

Having said that, it's been very effective and well tolerated. I think this will be a part of the standard protocol for auto-immunity in the future.

Had she tried other things before?

I wonder if high dose curcumin and/or CBD would help...

Tried it all over the years. CBD wasn't effective, unfortunately. Tirzepatide is the only thing that's been effective on top of the standard treatments (biologics, immunosuppressants).

tirz or Reta
I would lean toward tirz. You mentioned she's already thin, and I'm guessing she wouldn't appreciate the side effects that are more common with reta, like the sunburn sensation (paresthesia/dysesthesia), more prominent HR increase, more likely sleep disturbances, etc.

But I'm probably not telling you anything you don't already know.

Day 3 on cag

Still no appetite, but can eat

Started taking Reta again at 1mg per day

About 600mg dnp with very low calories. Dropped insulin so I am now only taking in carbs post workout in the form of dates

Was concerned when OP said that he could barely drink water, so I decided insulin could be a disaster

Really just trying to shrink my gut and maximize insulin sensitivity. Seems to be working

Only carbs on off days come from apples, carrots, and Greek yogurt or kefir

What is your approximate rate of fat loss with the DNP, cagri and reduced calories?

I kind of understand some of the reasoning to your approach. You’re taking those things with the goal of getting lean to try to get lean.

At the same time you’re already very lean and pretty peeled, feel like things like Cagrillintide and Reta in combination with DNP could just make this worse?

To be a contrarian for a second, wouldn’t you want to try to increase your digestion as much as possible? Maybe check for things like SIBO first before pursuing the next option, but I feel like improving your digestion and processing things quicker through things like digestive enzymes, prebiotics, or probiotics, kombucha (or however it’s called), fiber, things like that would really help your stomach to digests things better and eliminate some of the ditebtion rather going with things that would decrease digestion rate and create/fuel distention. Just another train of thought if that approach doesn’t work.

I believe the above is an approach a lot of coaches that coach classic guys use as well, as digestion is critical to keeping a smaller waist, especially when the food intake it high.

I just know when I briefly tried cagrillinte I felt like I had an air balloon and was bloated all day even with close to no food, then when I’d eat I’d just get massively bloated and distended.

i am not getting that 'air balloon' bloated feeling at all.

i am also taking in lots of kefir, sauerkraut, kombucha, fruits and vegetables, and fiberlyze/psyllium husk

definitely feel like it's doing work in 'righting the ship'

How long have you been on dnp? I keep coming back to this thread and this is all i see lol
Best weight loss I ever had was from 30mg tirz (and a slew of LOT of other drugs) 275lbs to 193lbs over like 3 months before the tren started making me have heart palpitations and I halted things.

Ive done dnp back in 2016, i did a run of 750mg crystal and felt like absolute death. It was winter, and my family was like why the fuck are you sweating outside in a tshirt in 20f lol i still firmly say glps have vastly better weightloss.

How long have you been on dnp?

a couple months... was cheating on the diet a lot until i started using GLP's

i still firmly say glps have vastly better weightloss.

hard disagree tbh

if you can avoid giving into the cravings while using DNP, there's nothing better for fat loss. if you're like me, and don't have the discipline, GLP-1's do the work for you in that regard

they are a match made in heaven. DNP for the fat loss/metabolism boost, GLP-1/cagr for appetite/cravings control.

@ Fleezy

FWIW. I love and applaud your “raw/real/humble” posts and always sharing your vulnerable “guinea pig” experiences for the good or bad, citing honest mistakes with zero ego along the way from a no-spin and non-know-it-all perspective.

It’s refreshing as heck TBH.

Always happy to help 🫠

Can we talk about Reta and cognition?

What’s your subjective opinion? Because it’s not yet approved for human consumption, the only studies I can find surround diabetic rats (improved cognitive benefits).

How about for those of us with good insulin sensitivity?

The jury is out on this for me. During the day I feel pretty good/on point, but I believe that my sleep has taken a hit. Because my sleep has taken a hit, I’m not sure that cognition is maximized.

Gotta agree with Fleezy here.

This past winter I topped out at 235. Every 3-4 weeks or so I would do a "DNP week" with hard dieting only popping 400-600mg DNP on a Monday then essentially PSMF until Friday.

Now sitting 208 this morning.

*waits for retards to tell me how terrible this approach was so I can tell them I had done the same thing while dieting under Shelby minus DNP*

No difference for me on 3mg or less per week

I'd take oral retatrutide in a second and so would millions more.
