I already do these but I'm wondering if I can replace standard back squats with these.
they feel so much better and with the right amount of weight wow!.

I don't wanna sacrifice maximum quad development.
But standard squats aren't working great for me, even with perfect form.
Also I'm seeing the biggest dudes doing these instead of barbell squats.

Thoughts?

I personally wouldn't. I would do those after if I did them

I am thinking there is something wrong with the biomechanics of your squats... post a video of you squatting...

Replace is a big word... BB Squats require more muscle recruitment and are more metabolically stimulating. Can you build good quads without squatting? Sure... but to replace BB squats changes things with your workout and overall programming.

I agree with mentalflex, post up basic vid if you can of your squat and maybe you have some bad habits you are unaware of that are holding you back mate.

I have had most of my lifts re-evaluated and critiqued, its made a HUGE difference in terms of gains and progression, i am talking even on things like tricep pressdowns lol! seriously.

I talk about gear too much to show who I am lol.

Ive been critiqued and shown I was going them correctly.
Maybe im too focused on bar on my neck lol.
they just feel more body stressing than leg stimulating

This says to me something isn't right... you should feel a burn in your quads, glutes and hammies (depending on stance).

If you won't post a video, we can't help...

I "feel" squats where I should just feel it also in areas I don't wanna feel it.
When I do what Ronny is doing its like maximum overload on quads

The bar should never be placed on ur neck. Find a good spot on ur traps. Make sure you keep ur chest up high and when you sit back, not straight down your knees don't go over your toes. Also where are your legs positioned? Close, wide or shoulder width? You may also be using more weight than need to be and your form is breaking down.

Ok, so if you feel it and it is maximum overload on quads, how don't they work?

There is supportive gear you can wear... There are bar apparatuses you can use (manta ray)....

Maximum overload was in reference to what Ronny is doing in video, not bb squats.

I appreciate your advice. As I said I don't wanna sacrifice quad development.
But reverse hacks just feel more effective.

You just answered your own question...

Has anyone else noticed that when you read about squats being the best exercise for muscle fiber recruitment, it just says squats? Obviously they mean barbell squats right? Or do they mean all types of squats?

I used to squat a lot and got very little in size gains and yes I tried a lot of diff positions and rep ranges so I started doing leg press and blew up..my legs respond to reverse hacks and leg press but I still squat just because.....my wife is the same way so we squat last in the rotation so we don't have to go so heavy

My back hurts just watching people do those reverse hacks. Obviously I know some use better form than others.
