Please keep both his daughters Maria Giuliani Farley, Andrea Giuliani Gonzales and their families in your prayers. He was a very dear friend of mine. Really sad. Nice funny, guy. Met him once. He went with Joe Gold to his new gym. Loyal, stand up guy and always in shape. Part of old guard. Fewer and fewer remaining. That’s life I guess but I don’t like it. So many great guys. Real people who who were comrades. Don’t see that any more.

May those that loved him, family and friends, find peace in his passing.

The first time I walked into World Gym in Santa Monica, in June, 1984, Eddie was working at the desk. I asked if I could come in and look around. He said “sure look all you want.” I recognized him and said “You’re Eddie Giuliani?” He said something like, “that’s me.” Then I saw the biggest, most massive pair of shoulders, thickest back, everything, just awesome, at the back of the room doing squats. I said, “who’s that guy?” I’ll never forget what he said: “That’s the next Mr Olympia. Lee Haney.”

Four months later Lee Haney was Mr Olympia.

I met Eddie once when my wife and I went to Worlds.. he was behind the desk with another World legend Zabo.. both were great guys. Gave me free passes. Eddie came out and showed me some of the hand made equipment from Joe Gold. We talked for quite a while.. the next day I went to eat at the Firehouse Cafe and Zabo was there. Came over and talked to us for a bit. Great bunch of guys.. whole different vibe from Golds Venice

Eddie and Bill pearl were my inspirations and is passing is not surprising as age will eventually take many of us, but it is sad news to hear of the passing of one of my inspirations. RIP and prayers to him and his family and loved ones
