RIP Tom Petty

So many memories listening to his music. This guy was a Legend! I have been playing the crap out of him the past 2 weeks, and just this whole last week non-stop while camping....such a depressing coincidence to come home last night and read this morning he passed away

Always liked Tom Petty. Refuge was among my favorite all time songs. Saw him a few times in Southern California. Too young to go. Shocked he went of a heart attack, even though probably not the healthiest guy, he was all of what, 120 pounds?

I did read that he had been a heroin addict at one time, by his admission. He had a rough childhood apparently and started using the heroin when his first wife of many years left him. So he didn't always have a healthy life. I never knew about his troubles. So many stars in the music business have skeletons in the closet. Perhaps the suffering is what brings out the feelings they put into their music.
