Road to Recovery - GLP1 and GH

Hello all. Has anyone experienced interactions with implementing a GLP1 (Tirzepatide) and Growth Hormone protocol? Will this pose a serious risk for insulin and blood glucose spikes? I've read contradicting information, however for myself, my current goal is a 2% BF reduction, which is the reason for Tirzepatide use. Ever since my stint with Covid, overall my body experienced a train wreck and I'm turning 41, so Growth Hormone makes sense. I also love the recovery it offers. I do not want these two to cancel each other out, which is why I'm asking for input with this protocol. Thanks in advance

Gh makes sense but why the need for glp? What is your deficit? Cardio, total calories? Do you have trouble sticking to a diet?

The combination is absolutely fine. I am currently experimenting with Reta and GH and everything works. It was the same with Tirz 👍

Excellent question. I've found that GLP1 has helped rid my fatty liver, assisted with hormone and kidney function and played a crucial role with my calorie deficit. It has many benefits for me in general

There’s multiple threads discussing the benefits of GLP1s, probably on the first page even

But to summarize: basically gh and tirzepatide will work synergistically for your goals. Gh increases insulin resistance, GLP-1s lower it. The end results is that it should control the blood glucose and insulin resistance aspects and you probably won’t have to worry about going hypo unless you’re mega dosing or stacking a bunch of blood sugar lowering compounds. Very synergistic for fatloss

That's good information, thanks. Are you aware of any interactions with thyroid functions with using the two?

Gh increases conversion of t4 to t3. Can lead to low t4 levels over time and increased t3 if you’re running a decent dose of gh. For hrt doses of gh it’s probably a non factor unless you already have some pre existing thyroid stuff going on

What dose are you planning?

I'm running 15 MG of Tirzepatide weekly and running 4IUs of GH daily. I'm wanting to bump up to 6IUs and try to get some of the sleep benefits I've yet to experience

15mg! Why so much?
This. 15mg is a ton man.

What are you’re fasted blood glucose readings coming in at?

The sleep thing is also hit or miss. Some people report sleeping better. Some report fragmented sleep and reduced REM cycles (maybe due to the increase in resting heart rate, not entirely sure)

Latest was 83 NG/DL. I have noticed slight increase in RHR. I've also considered switching to Retatritude for the glucagon benefit, and it may be time if so

I know this is parrotted a ton everyyywhere, but regular GH use (and by regular i mean 5iu and under) SHOULD NOT lead to any insulin resistance or blood glucose problems. We need to stop referencing that every time someone mentions GH and GLP1s together. The ONLY way you/re getting insulin resistance at those dosages is if your diet is completely trash, its that simple.

If you find yourself still struggling with covid after this cycle, I'd suggest glutathione and TB500. Glutathione will help the cells and TB will help with the organs. To take a step further you could take SLU at 100 - 300mcg to boost the mitochondria

I mean I would think the insulin resistance would be linear, no? (It increases as the dose increases, rather than being 0, then all of a sudden you get to 5iu and it pops up out of nowhere)

I mean under 5iu I would say it’s probably negligible and people would barely notice it, but not non existent

I've never seen someone run Tirzepatide that high before. What's the reason you needed to up the dose so high? Does it stop working after a period of time and you need to take more in order for it to continue working or something?

The 15MG dosage is very common and mine is prescribed as brand name Mounjaro. I began the initial dose of 2.5 then titrated up to 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15 which is the highest dose prescribed. Again, I've ran it for four years and it has many off label uses which I find highly beneficial. Your body will get accustomed to it, and after this amount of time I find the effectiveness still about 60%. I have great insurance which coveres it, so I'll use it as it's available

15 mg may be very common for people with deep metabolic issues and insulin resistance, morbidly obese, etc. but for a reasonably fit person, it is a huge dose.

At that point, I’d be questioning diet, lifestyle factors or perhaps something else is really wrong or off.

No hate, just an observation as someone who lost 80# (without glp1s) but who uses Tirz microdosing for all the multiple benefits, and who has helped others who were morbidly obese successfully lose and keep fat off.
