Ronnie Coleman used anabolic steroids? I feel so misled and like my whole life has been a sham. Personally idc when he started. Probably because idc what he looked like natural. I only care about that amazing physique he created at its peak. And idc what he took or when to make such a masterpiece.

I’d bet the farm none of us could replicate that physique with all the gears that have ever been peddled on this and all the other forums combined.

I know I carry zero weight on here opinion wise but I wish we could just appreciate his greatness at his peak and not fuss about what he used when he used it. I would have loved to watch him train legs in his prime in an offseason and adding mass. Dude was incredible. A total animal.

it’s so difficult to see him now though. Or at least last time I saw him on video was a few years ago and he could hardly get around on his own. That’s hard to see when you remember what he was prior. I hope he has improved since then health wise. Long live the King!

on a semi related note I just want to say that we could/should learn something from Ronnie’s story. And that is that no matter how much of an indestructible badass you are now, your life is nothing but a vapor. It will return to dust in short order. And that goes for all of us. Since I started thinking this way I have spent a little more time building up the spiritual side we all contain (our souls). Because unlike these muscled up bodies we all walk around with, our souls will continue on for eternity. So I figure spending some time improving that aspect of my being is something to work towards.

I haven't watched the whole interview end to end but did catch some of the short clips. The one that stands out to me is the one where he mentioned Chad's diet changes to over 6 lbs of protein a day. Certainly at that time he was enhancing himself in the late 90s. I knew Chad well and he told me one time that he told Ronnie he was going to allow a 10% factor in the diet for misses and Ronnie told him he ate exactly what Chad laid out in the diet to the gram which shocked Chad as he was constantly adjusting other clients meal plans for slip ups.
Several pros on Mayhem leaked emails from Chad's off season diets and drug plans and was really shocked to see the drug regimen. Less than a gram a week of test and an anabolic 6 ius GH a day and insulin with tons of dextrose added in. This was back in 2005.
I know Dante and Scott and Skip remember cause we all were discussing it in the supermod forum at Intense Muscle. I think we should keep the thread going to discuss the contents of the interview diet training injuries and really don't give a shit when the first time someone started on AAS GH and slin as there is a lot to learn from the king.

It really makes no difference to anyone if he was or wasn’t. If he was, no one else is getting to that level naturally anyway.

I still lie about being natural to my coworkers on the Fire department, and I’m extremely close with them.

And honestly like someone said before, I wouldn’t even be surprised if Ronnie didn’t think the Test he got from the clinic was steroids. And that steroids were the other shit guys were using like Winny and Tren. But that’s a whole other road to go down

Its a phrase KingofSushi just a phrase. and its a phrase that gives me an out in case I am wrong.

Yes it’s a phrase but the context matters here. This is a thread where people are debating over what the natural status of Ronnie is at a certain time, and as far as I can tell (unless you have some information you’d like to share) you don’t know this to be true. You’re just repeating what you heard through the grapevine. You believe this to be the truth; you don’t know. That’s all I was trying to say. But maybe I read too much into your phrasing, and if so I apologize for bringing it up.

And again, like I said, I don’t get why it even matters that much or anyone cares in the first place. I think the argument is silly especially when know one TRULY knows anything for certain, which I think is why your very adamant demeanor that your belief is the truth may have rubbed some users the wrong way. I, as @st114 said, have respect for both you and the other users involved but I think the arguing about the truth of his status will always just be arguing in circles. Though I don’t think @K1 ‘s argument was really related to the actual natural status exactly.

A lot of this Ronnie BS is human nature. Here is some data correct? Ronnie is/was a juicer correct? What benefit does it do him at all to tell people that he was natural in 1991 and for a few years before going all out? Its makes him no money. It doesnt give him any benefit at all. The bottom line is he was a bigtime juicer later on...thats the data. What benefit does it do for Flex Wheeler to tell people 30 something years later that Ronnie was natural in 91 and the first few years? Nothing. It does absolutely nothing for Flex and it does nothing for Ronnie. What benefit does it do for Levrone to tell people Ronnie was natural in 91 and the first few years? Nothing. Flex Levrone Ronnie and others who repeat this story get absolutely no benefit at all from telling this story. Doesnt benefit anyone monetarily or otherwise. Everyone knows Ronnie hit the juice and GH on his run. Those arent the only guys saying it from back in the day. I am just too lazy to look up the other guys. But there is no benefit at all for those guys or Ronnie or Flex or Levrone to say this stuff....so why say it unless its what they know as the truth. There is a human nature element to this also.

Let's play devil's advocate - Ronnie won his pro card by winning the drug tested World Championships. Admitting that he wasn't natural would label him a cheater.
Flex and Levrone - ego. They get to claim that they were responsible for making the GOAT reach his potential. Plus it makes a good story.
