Its a damn shame, but just remember that America is being merciful to other countries; because if we did with baseball what we did with Olympic basketball, it would be a joke. Seriously, we have to use minor league players and amatuers just to make it fair -- perhaps the fellas thought they would just walk through the Mexican team like they usually do and took shit for granted. Remember this --- although we will not be represented, EVERYBODY knows that we could throw a team together that could spot teams 5 runs and still DESTROY them with ease.

We Americans OWN this game, (others own hockey and soccer) but we own basketball, and baseball. We put our best out there and it is considered unfair --- but other countries have professionals out there, maybe now we will get the major league all stars for the next olympics so that we can redeem ourselves.

This is ridiculous. Next time no taking shit for granted, go out and play hard and unforgiving.

Here in Holland almost noone plays baseball. Most cities dont even have a baseball club and people are really not interested in that sport. Same for basketball...

In Holland 80% of the people doing sports are playing soccer. On second place tennis and hockey or even volleyball. (Now those last three are really gay if you ask me lol) I love the NBA but i can never see a match because none of our television networks are broadcasting it...
