I'm getting the same. I got a new service but now I need to get in my old account so I can get email addresses. And I was waiting on replys from some "friends" and I need to know the answers. FUCK safemail. Never again.

Nothing that's free unfortunately. I really like kept private but its hard to access on mobile. Securenym is the gold standard far as I can tell.

When big name sponsors that previously used safe-mail are moving on to protonmail that should say something. Tutanota is a good alternative for the now if you're waiting on an invite from protonmail.

Someone said it works like our govt. well that might be a sign they are probably involved or actively investigating right now. I'm sure if that is the case that may be why it is offline so they can actively look into things more.

These all are outside of the US as well so not necessarily bound by same requirements. Counter mail is paid but has some very interesting added security options.
