SAFETY SQUAT BAR

Old timer here, 59, previous competitive BB and PL back in the day.
These days surgeries and injuries.
Thoughts on the SAFETY SQUAT BAR ?
Thinking EITHER
ROGUE SB1 $395 or ELITE FTS SS YOKE BAR $425
Any help would be appreciated.

Absolute necessity!

I have had one for years!

I actually have 2. 1 from elitefts, and another from rogue that I won a couple of years ago in a raffle at a strength show.

Once you bang up your shoulders this thing is a godsend! I had to have extensive work done on both shoulders due to poor career choices, and the SS bar kept me squaring while I got my shoulders back to 100%.

Plus, it's just feels good to do.

SS bar and belt squats are very underrated in the bodybuilding world

My shoulder is Gone, bicep tendon, rotator, wrists carpel, Elbow impingement ALL SURGERIES.
Plus knees numerous surgeries - Patella Tendon
I'm totally unsure which one is better and the more research I do the more confused I get !!

The one I’ve been using BK13 is the elite fts.
That bar and box squats are way better for my old rusty knees and shoulders

@59 + given all the "surgeries & injuries" you mentioned up top ..why not just use the leg press? ..or something similar?

^^^don't get me wrong i like squatting myself, but i don't consider them to be the "end-all" to leg development
..& at the risk of aggravating prior injuries &/or surgeries, personally i'd def consider other alternatives

Sour you are a VERY WISE MAN !!
I own a gym and had my Bicep Tendon done June 1 then 1 week ago had the rotator and bi tendon re-done.
just depressed training people knowing it's going to be months until I lift again.
Shopping but honestly you are right- WHY ?
I have 2 beautiful leg presses and a Hammer V-Squat.
You just saved me $$, time and aggravation.
Also than you for the compliment - Almost 40 years ago - Ughhh

Man, they are both quality bars...your good either way.

I am a little biased though coming from a powerlifting background. So, if I could only have one it would be the elitefts...Dave tate is a good dude and he's my one stop shop

Man, I've had 3 spine surgeries, both shoulders, elbow, replaced knee, need surgery in my hands....and I am in my mid 30's!

I had to figure out real quick how to keep myself on the game with my medical accomplishments lol

I bought mine from Elitefts about 8 years ago. It has been great and held up well being kept in a garage gym and thrown about over the years. Still use it often. I also bought one of their racks at the time - purchased the dip attachment bars; I use those to place my hands when the load gets heavier versus the handles on the bar.

have a rogue safety squat bar at my gym. It's awesome. I had been completely unable to squat (back squat) since my shoulder surgery a few years ago. Even though it rehabbed well, and I can pretty much do everything else without problem, I still can't tolerate holding a bar in position on my back. Once I tried the safety squat bar, I was like thank you I can squat again!!!! Best thing ever invented, lol

The EliteFTS is the better bar as the pads will last much much longer than the cheapo pads on the Rogue bar.
