If you are eating it everyday it will never taste good. I find with fish its best to just keep it simple. I rub a little olive oil on it, crush some pepper corns and broil. If its only one serving I like to broil it right in the toaster oven. The key is just not to over cook it, a big piece usually broils up in 10 minutes.
 
I have a good recipe... Dont know the amount of ingrediants because I just eye ball it. but just use enough to cover the top of the salmon.

Get crushed fresh galic and fry it up (I use coconut oil) Until its golden in color.
Get a good amount of olive oil in a bowl enough to make a spread over the top of the salmon.

Then mix the garlic in the olive oil and also add in dijon mustard. I use allot because I love the flavor. Just mix it up and paste it over the top of the fish. Then just season it with any thing you like lightly.

I also like to do a light honey glaze over the top of it.

Then put it in the oven for the amount of time in portion to the size.

Emulsify and spread on top. Creates a great crust.
 
i like to smoke my own salmon. sometimes with hickory or mesquite. i can eat it everyday. just put some seasons on there and smoke it for awhile. can't beat that.
 
I marinade mine with teriyaki sauce!
 
Ever try steaming it? Enclose it up in tin foil with a little water and lemon and different spices. Bake for 20 minutes at 350
 
I usually like butter and garlic, or use a cajun season. I try to keep it simple with salmon.

I will either smoke it or I will cook it in the oven on a lower temp for a little longer.

It's one of my favorite dishes, and I would eat it more often if quality salmon was cheaper.(I mostly eat chicken/eggs due to price)


Even cold leftovers are delicious on crackers.

I can only eat salmon in sushi, can't even be in the same room as cooked salmon.

first off for me I always get Alaskan wild caught, to me it just taste better, I usually keep it real simple, and use some salt and a little black pepper, will squeeze a lemon on it after its cooked.
 
i think it's great by itself, fresh salmon filet pan fried medium heat...if you need to add to it, try adding capers and lemon juice if the fishy taste is too much...
canned whole salmon i would say just mix it up and bake it 350 for 25 min or so.

I think broiled with any sweet glaze (even maple syrup) is good, and if you like walnuts, put some crushed walnuts on it. But I can eat it broiled with just lemon juice or just salt/seasoning.
 
Some good ideas in here.

I. Pretty boring with mine, butter,garlic and chives baked in oven. Quick and easy and will not over power the flavor of the fish, which I enjoy.
 
I agree with ^ either eating it with teriyaki, or eating it in a sushi roll with avacado and rice. Fats and carbs included!
 
Salmon has the highest omega-3 contents among all the fish. It has 2.7g omega-3 per 100g weight.As we know, omega-3 can inhibit inflammation and control body weight. Besides, it can prevent Alzheimer's Disease. haha

Do you like Salmon Sashimi? But I like Pan-fried salmon more. It is really delicious.
