Anybody recommend a good salt substitute or another spice for steak/beef. I've always used garlic salt, but I want to eat more throughout the weak and I want to watch sodium intake. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your response. :headbang:

Mrs. Dash has something which has a decent flavor even on beef. But its hard to pass one some kinda of salt on beef. It really adds IMO to the flavor. I like Montreal myself but there are so many. All salt based though

there's a product called salt substitute, it taste almost like salt but no sodium. it's does have a little funny taste to it though but you go get it at any grocery in the spice area.

Lite salt found in the grocery store is great. It made mainly of potassium chloride instead of sodium. We all need more potassium!

Try the mc cormick perfect pinch line, found at walmart for $2. They have alot of flavors some with salt some without.

Sea salt also helps because to still has all of its salt minerals intact.

Potassium chloride or Mrs dash. There are many different flavors of Mrs dash available. The chipoltle is great.

Is there a point where consuming too much Potassium chloride becomes unsafe? Is it something that could happen with normal use or to you have to consume large amounts?
