Saw The Expendables yesterday

Enjoyable, but it truly lacked a good story line. And it wouldn't have been hard to do one either.

Lots of action as expected. Lots of funny one liners. The scene with Arnold was great and funny.

The old action guys are much better than the new crop. They got this panache that the new guys don't. Dolf Lundgren's performance was my favourite.

Heck bro, just hit it up on a matinee and pay $5 to see it. It looks like it should be a fun flick. When I looked up what it was about and the character names I cracked a smile. They all sounded like pro wrestler characters. I agree with ya Big A. The only one of the new crop that I like is Statham.

Sounds like a good excuse to put together a boys night and and get up to some mischief. That's my plan anyway.

I agree that today's action heroes can't hold a candle to Arnold, Stallone, Willace etc. Statham was great in 'Snatch' though.

Better option, give the 16 year old "ticket rippeR" the "I DARE YOU TO ASK FOR MY STUB!" look and just walk right in. Usually I don't steal, but AMC still owes me dough from Spiderman 3, Watchmen and Clash Of The Titans.

Just got back from the show. I thought it was pretty good. Lot's of shit getting blown up, beat downs and yes a ton of great one liners. Arnold didn't look so hot...getting up there in years. Plus, I think politics has taken a toll on him. Worth seeing , though.

I can't wait to see this movie....full of most the action heros I loved watching while growing up!!!

Hopefully after Arnold gets out of office soon, he and Stallone can get together for a classic movie that should have been done YEARS ago....
