Cortisone has helped me IMMENSELY throughout the years!!!! I get injections in various joints yearly or every 2 years. That stuff has been a godsend to me! Been doing this for maybe 20yrs now. But, have a doctor do this since they know exactly where to put the needle inside the joints.

Do NOT inject cortisone into your bicep tendon!! Injecting cortisone near the distal bicep tendon will make it prone to rupturing. You need to give it rest and allow it to heal. Then change the way you are training biceps. If that doesn’t work you may need an MRI and possible surgery.

This, I'd throw that shit away no idea why docs use it. Fix the problem don't put a bandaid on it one that could make it worse.

Keep your in mind his pain is not coming from a “joint” or “bursa sac” in which a cortisone shot can be of help. His pain is coming from the distal bicep TENDON. Injecting cortisone near the tendon causes it to further weaken.
