I saw ADC had it for sale and was wondering if anyone has used this instead of accutane to self treat acne (It's for chest and back acne). It's never really bad I just always have a few zits and I'm just sick of it! I have tried man washes and topical protocols but they never seem to keep them 100% away.

I get Bactrim from Canada

but I find that using melanotan then sitting out in the sunn or using a tanning bed helps my skin stay clear

and tan

I been using Bactrim from my doc. Worked great for the first two months and has slowly stopped working.

Tanning definitely helps mine but there are a good 4-5 months out of the year it isn't hot enough to tan.

What dosage did you run with the bactrim?

Mine was pretty bad and I used it for about 4 months, it worked well for me, I think there's two compounds in it,one was dosed at 800mg and the other at 160mg, I had the double strength generic, one tab a day, if yours isn't too bad it should work well for you

Ever try B5 it has helped Me quite a bit

I did B5 for 3 months and it dried my skin up some but I still had a zit here and there. I started getting the runs from it so I had to stop. B5 was the best thing I have tried so far but have never used any "real" medication.

B12 complex supplement and dawn dish soap (the blue one, without anti-bacterial) helped A LOT with my facial acne (didn't eliminate it entirely). I know yours is on the body but they might help there too. Just throwing it out there. :)

Wavelengths of light found in sunlight do kill acne bacteria but it's a trade-off i.e. the bacteria killing qualities of sunlight versus the skin damage caused by the sun's rays.

Bactrim if you're not allergic to sulfates works great for the short term. It will eventually stop as you do build an immunity to it in time. I used it for nearly 2 years as it was the only thing besides accutane at the time that would keep my acne clear and I was undergoing some medical procedures that precluded the use of accutane so bactrim was a lifesaver.

What was your dosing like?

I was on Bactrim ds, thats the 800mg dose, 1 every 12 hours. So 2 total per day.

i use Adapalin only when i have acne on my face and keep a regular schedule for rest. My acne problem has got better.
