Semaglutide- maybe a new weapon in the arsenal ?

So the studies on this drug are pretty amazing. The appetite suppressing effects and weight loss are even stronger than the injectable glop-1 agonists.

I got to digging on the diabetic forums, and anecdotal reports are many chronic overeaters are struggling to break 1000 calories per day on the higher dosing (14mg).

anybody else done any reading on this? I’ve been downloading all the studies I can find and gonna read them tonight.

the longer term studies (63 weeks I think) the average weight loss was around 15kg. That’s amazing for no other dietary or exercise interventions.

A small dosing plan might make the last 4 weeks of prep much more tolerable and have to rely less on stimulants to curb hunger

Never heard of it, but just did a quick google search see mention of possible thyroid cancer (so far in animals) and a current on going study evaluating Pancreatic Cancer risk. Maybe not jump right in.

It’s insane how much the mark up is on the brand name version of this stuff. I mean I get it as they spent a gang developing it and all but damn!!

Definitely intriguing for sure, but we’ll see the long term. As much as insulin can me messed up, it’s just so well understood as far as mechanism of action and dosing at this point.

I’d rather score some Liraglutide due to the 9-13 hour half life though for more control.

Cool class of meds though for sure.

yeah but once you are over the initial 3-4 weeks 99% of the sides are gone.
i Am now on semaglutide since mid of february, right now 0,4mg eod and i love it during a cut.
a simple meal consisting of 250g chicken, some mushrooms and some shirataki noodles satisfies me and makes me full.
Dangers are if you overeat - you might get some nausea and stomach pain.

liraglutide is petter suited if you are doing 1-2 fasting days a week and the rest is more or less normal eating.
Of course semaglutide is a problem if you want to go to an all you can eat buffett spontanous with your friends - because well, you will fail
miserable there and not "make an impressive appearance" xD
