Serious Question: who has ever had a blood clot on the main vein???

A buddy of mine had a blood clot in the thick vein of his penis. Wondering if anyone has had this issue? Causes? Treatment? And prevention.

Your friend has penile thrombosis, did he use any constrictor device on his penis?

heard Viagra can cause this-don't know

take a blood thinner-aspirin at least

go to the ER not something to mess with

He has used one previously but not recently when the issue occurred. He did use a PDE5. Inhibitor the night before. Could either one of these been the culprit?

My friend saw a urologist. A ct scan and ultra sound were done as well as blood and urine samples All checked out ok. Vitamin E was suggested as a blood thinner.

Interested in knowing more about prevention going forward...

In my friends case the doc said it was a freak occurrence. The clot dissipated in several weeks on its own. Now obviously there is the thought of what happens if it comes back ..
