Seroquel experiences anyone?

Het Bro's,The screen name is new but I've been around for a bit.I formally went by Jollymon.I forgot my password and the email addy I was useing at the time was a Ziplip addy.Oh well.
Anyway,I was recently put on Seroquel to help with my aggression.I've been on Effexor XR for a couple of years now.It seems to work ok,just the usual sexual sides.I also take Xanax,1mg a day.
Have any of ya'll ever taken Seroquel and what did you think of it?

I take it every night to help me sleep. If I don't take it my mind just races and I never get to sleep. I usually don't take it on weekends because I don't want to have to keep taking more and more of it. I took Klonopin 2mg/day for about a year to help with anger management. That was quite a few years ago. I don't have an anger management problem any more. Now, if I could just figure out how to get rid of this damn insomnia problem I'll be set.

I've been taking it for about 3 years now for racing thoughts and insomnia. It helps a lot. I don't like the drowsiness in the morning and it made me gain some fat as well. Be careful if you drink, much easier to black out on than xanex or valium, for me at least.

I love seroquel. I have been taking it for 2 years now. I take 800 mgs. before bed. It helps me sleep and keep my sanity, especially when I'm on a cycle. It does not effect me if I am drinking.

Excellent feed back fellas.I know I was told to take it at night but it never occured to me that it would be used for sleep problems.I was on Depacote for a bit but it made me more irratable. Now that you mention the sleep aid effect of it I do notice that I have been sleeping better since beginning it.I work third shift so I understand sleep deprevation.
My son was on Klonopin for his tourettes syndrom but we had to change his meds because it messed up his short term memory,much like valium does.

I also use seroquel to combat my insomnia. Another thing is when I take my seroquel I get real hungry as well as sleepy. So I am about to pass out and then I go an pig out right before passing out.

Any body know if seroquel is hard on the liver?

ive read that seroquel is bad for the eyes.
since ive started taking the seroquel ive noticed my vision is getting blurry.
anyone else have this problem ?

800 mg's dixichic? wow, that's the dose given to schizophrenics.. you must have built up some tolerance to that stuff.. LOL I've been taking between 50 to a 100 mg's depending on how wound up I am. Seroquel is great, I have sleep apnea and use a cpap, but even with the cpap I still wake up about a dozen times a night. with seroquel I sleep right through the night. The only down side to the stuff is the next day I'm like a zombie..but once you get past that it's great stuff..

I have never had anything like this at all. Vision has been just fine.
