Seseame seeds - Healthy ?

I bought some food from a Russian store named "Halva". It's pretty much made from sesame seeds... lots of fat but it tastes so damn good

If I am not mistaking. It think it's actually a Turkish dessert. Indeed very popular in Russia and former Russian republics.

However. It's all fat and sugar. How healthy is that?!?!

The one I bought has ZERO sugar....but I have been researching, looks like Sesame seeds are healthy fats

Halva is just a name for dessert used my many eastern countries . my mother makes it the best, taught to her by her mum. it's cooked in every Indian household . I cook it myself. My wife is a fan of gaazar ka halwa ( carrot halwa) . I make it high protein bb style. It doesn't taste like the real deal cooked by traditional Indian style which has ghee & fresh cream. lol can be made by many ingredients carrot or flour . we get it in Indian sweet shops here in England too

Seseame seeds r defo healthy fats but I wouldn't want in my halwa , my Indian heritage taste buds won't allow it in halwa . we put cashews , almonds , daakh for sweetness

It's most popular in the middle east, especially in places like Armenia/Turkey.

It's a very nice treat with healthy fats.

High in omega 6. So if you are prone to inflammation then avoid sesame seeds products.
