I lifted in a bench meet today and set a new masters state record. This was the first meet I've done in about a year. The last one I almost blew out my elbow. I weighed in at 328.4 and opened with 600 for 3 white lights. Went 650 on second and hit the upright as I locked it out so no lift. Took it again on my third and locked it out again but beat the rack command.
I'm happy with my lift even though it wasn't a PR. I was only in my bench shirt two times for this meet and only hit a heavy single last Sunday to find an opener. My right shoulder has been bothering me for the last six weeks and I've had ART work done on it three times in the last two weeks. On top of that my work schedule has been all over the place and I think I averaged about 4hrs of sleep per day.
I had a great time and got to see some great lifting. I also got to shoot the shit with Bill Carpenter. He gave me a little shirt advice too. What a nice guy. Now for some rehab and prep for Masters Nats.
