Last night after a few sets of pull-downs and t-bar rows, I went to do deadlifts and my back cramped up BIG TIME. I usually work my way up to a working set of about 6-8 with 325, but @ 225 it felt like my kidneys were rocks, and it hurt just to bend over and get a drink from the fountain (bubbler if you're from NY). It forced me to stop my workout and go home. for sore/pulled muscles I usually swap between ice and heat packs, 20 minutes each.

It's still a little sore this morning, but I can at least move without much pain.

I can't tell if it was just a horrible back pump or if I messed somethin up in my back. Anyone have exp?

false alarm....just the pump....takin it easy on the pre-w/o on back days

Yeah I get some retarded back pumps on deads/squats while on cycle to the point of feeling crippled. Try 3-5g of taurine pre wo.

Back pumps can be VERY painful. I know cause i get em all the time. Drinks tons of water and stay hydrated. Certain "supps" are notorious for terrible back pumps.

I try to stay away from pre w/o when i do dead lifts and/or leg day. Makes me sick

prolly shoulda said i was a natty lol. the military keeps a close eye on their cops (as sad as it is to admit)

Will taurine help with muscle cramps?

Yeah. Believe it or not, taurine can definately help with painful pumps. Taurine prevents cramping by aiding in the movement of important nutrients such as potassium, magnesium, calcium and sodium in and out of our cells. Low levels of potassium can cause severe cramping during intense exercise.

Also brother, make sure you stretch your back muscles well before trainning bro, get some blood going . blessings friend. Minister
