Severe Muscle cramps after training

I almost always get severe muscle cramps in my biceps and quads a few hours after training. It seems that no matter how much water I drink or electrolytes I supplement, it does nothing. I don't think it's from excessively high volume either. I got some bicep spasms the other day and the workout was only 6 sets.
 
Taurine can help.

I've had this issue more or less for a couple years. I had bloods maybe 5months ago. I don't think I did metabolic panel tho
 
I have the same problem with my calves, I use ttm 300 @ 900 mcgs a week ,dbol 30mgs a day and basic fish oil and multi vitamins every day,doctors ain't got a clue but it gets so bad that the muscles are jumping n pounding like they going to explode especially when training and when benching it goes up to my ares n back stopping me lifting right any ideas anyone ? Thanks
 
Do you take any caffeine pre-workout? I've noticed it definitely exacerbates muscle cramps for me.
 
lack of calcium can cause cramping as well as other deficient minerals.
 
No I don't take caffeine,and I take iron and calcium supps, its puzzling me as I live n eat healthy take everything possible so not sure what's causing this ?

When I did 6 sets of biceps the other day there was no caffeine. I did quads today. No cramps. Drank some sea salt in aminos when i woke up. Which was about 3 hours before training. Also popped some cal/mag caps with breakfast. I kept quod training to 10sets.
 
you can never use anough electrolites as far as I'm conserned, I used to have that problem but I never use to eat anough carbs or protein for that matter, now I make sure a have lots of everything... taurine make me lose water not retain.
 
Dilantin is off prescribed for muscle cramps and is a 100% fix for most people.
 
Thanks never hears of that one ill give it a go as nothing else works n ill post when I get some and let u know if it worked.
 
Ill also ask about my thyroid too as I'm booked in for some bloods doing too.
 
You might simply be getting dehydrated after you are done training... had this issue a while ago and broke my head looking for a solution when I simply had to drink more water during exercise.
