Shingles affect muscle growth?

Guys I had shingles 2 years ago was one of the worst experiences ever. Took over a year to get feeling back in parts of my upper quad. Anyway we know shingles can cause some nerve/ skin damage however my right leg has always been genetically smaller. Would shingles affect muscle growth at this point like neurons not firing correctly or stimulating growth on that right side?
