Short break from lifting, should I adjust diet?

Taking my normal 1-2 wk break from training after 4 months of lifting hard. Should I adjust diet (ie: lower carb intake or lower cal intake) for this break from training?
 
Yes you should. I'm on my one week break from the gym as well and I always adjust cals accordingly. Drop carbs, keep the fat and reduce protein a little as well since you won't need an extreme amount since you are not tearing muscle. Remember, during time off, you only need to eat enough to maintain muscle. Eat too much and it's easy to put on fat.
 
Thanks, that was my train of thought but just need to here it from another person.
 
when i take breaks i take a break from bodybuilding. food and everything. i don't use it as an excuse to over eat if i don't feel like eating breakfast i skip it.

To a certain extent but it very difficult to say since we know nothing about you.

How are you feeling now?

What's your diet look like now?

How much were you training?

Doing any cardio?

What are you eating?

Are you taking anything?

What are your goals?

What are your stats?

Dpends on what your trying to do (goals). Sometimes during a small break I will just eat whatever I want,,,then back to a strict regimen.

I pretty much do the same, except I'm a little stricter. I will eat more cheat meals then I normally would but not all day. I drop the cals to a little over maintenance and don't even go to the gym to do cardio. I like to give my CNS and muscles/joints a total break for 1-2 weeks. I just feel so much better when I go back and am ready mentally and physically to hit the weights hard again. :D
