I have had two bad experiences it trying to pin in left quad but my right is like warm butter. 1st time in left I must have hit a vein because it swelled up and was vary sore for a week( I know I should have aspirated). Second time right from the get go it started bleeding and I had pain as soon as I tried to push in.

Is it me or does others have problems with their left quad???

Funny you should say this. I think it's mental.

It will be more mental now but, this isn't going to stop me from rotating. Maybe where i'm right handed too, weird though just barely pushed needle in and pain and blood, first shot swole up and sore for 7-8 days, lol...

Are you left or right handed? If you are right handed, are you switching the control of the pin to the left hand when pinning left quads? I've got the same interesting thing happen to my body, I notice this most when pinning right vs. left glutes, switching ED. I thought the left glute was responding funny, but the more I thought about it, for me it's a matter of my left hand (the non-dominant hand) is less steady, accurate, and smooth, making for more painful left-sided injections. Maybe it's just me. Be safe.

Thanks, I'm still going to try left glute next time just for rotation site reasons. But must of had unfortunate tries thus far. I'll keep the next shot to the left and keep you posted...

Quads are silly. Sometimes you hit a vein... sometimes a nerve... sometimes perfectly smooth. You need to find the right place for your body on each side... yes it will most likely be a slightly different location from the left to right side.

For example... my friend noticted that he had to go high up on the outer sweep on his right quad and halfway down the sweep in his left quad. Deviating up or down on either side from said areas resulted in hitting a nerve or larger vein causing swelling.

Hope this helps.

This is what I was thinking, this is good info, i'll probably rotate to my glutes because my left quad feels like one big veiny artery thusfar, lol...

With me its the opposite.
My right always gives me pain and bad shots and the left smooth.
But I think its all in my head. I had plenty of smooth injections in the right one too.
