Should Bodybuilders Train When They're Sick?

I didn't read the entire thread but the following has seemed beneficial in my experience. Do some cardio, work up a good sweat, like sweat through your shirt. We're trying to flush the system here. Then, if you have access, sit in the steam room for as long as you can handle. 5-10 minutes should do just fine. Then shower and start drinking water to replenish what you just got rid of. I call it an oil change.

Oh, and don't forget electrolytes.

In my 20’s and 30’s my body could handle training when sick AF!
At age 50, forget it! It’s too easy to get an injury!

I still lift weights if I have a cold. I just cut back on volume and avoid cardio. Trying to push through cardio training with a cold makes it worse in my experience.

same here. still lifting on sick-days, but go easy or your immune system won't handle it.

Low intensity cardio for no more than 30 minutes is pretty much the only thing I would do when sick. If you have a fever, you should not do any exercise, period.

Stay home and watch Netflix.

Yeah Netflix and with the chills.
If I have a slight cold or something I’ll go but if I have the flu or feeling absolute crap I won’t go. Now a stomach bug or diarrhea! Hell no I won’t go!
