Should you count normal Whey protein carbs into your macros?

I try to buy Whey protein when it is on sale. Most of the time they have hardly any sugar around 25gr of protein an 5-7 carbs. I usually take them after workouts an cook with.

I still get around 220gr of protein in whole food.

I'm cutting BF right now so wondering if I should take the extra carbs from the Whey into factors. I rotate 2 days under 50gr an one day under 100gr.


My body has been doing very well with cutting BF these last 4 weeks an holding a ton of size.


My questions is this.

Should I just worry about my whole food carb macros or also count the whey.


I have maybe a 1/4 cup of rice a day for carbs an a 1/4 of oats.

What do you guys think on this?
 
OK wait, how many scoops of whey protein are you taking a day? Are you cutting down BF for a particular reason as in a BB show ? IMHO in the grand scheme of things the added 5-7 carbs is negligible. Now if you are taking 4-5 scoops per day then hell yes.
 
If your total carbs are coming from 1/4c of rice (like...15g?) then another 20-30g from your cheap whey will come pretty close to pushing you out of ketosis...so yes you should pay attention to that/them
 
It's usually around 1-1/2 scoop for my pancake.

14 weeks. Yeah it's a ways out but I want to be very lean before the show closes in. It will be my first an I have way plenty of size to give up some muscle.

Got yesterday up to 76carbs. An had me concerned will cut the protein use down. It's muscle tech phase 8 was buy one get one free.


I'll have to spend the extra $ for the ISO whey now.
 
You probably don't have to toss the concentrate but I'd limit it's use during your prep to either one or no scoops a day, and like you said replace with a low or no carb isolate if you're trying to stay keto

By the way - have you tried other cutting methods (high-ish protein, moderate carbs/moderate fat?)

I find I'm a bit hungrier but have far better workouts in terms of intensity (and therefore feel like I'm burning more fat) with a decent number of carbs...

I was at 325p/250-275c(depending on bodypart worked)/70f until four weeks out from this upcoming show, for example...
