Should you forearms be bigger than your calves?

I noticed alot today, Is there ever a time when your calves should be smaller than your forearms?
 
I dont know about being the same size as your calves, but I have trouble with them being the same size as my biceps. Wich in turn makes my biceps look smaller. For some reason I have really thick forearms from the side. I guess I got them from my dad cause he has BIG forearms and he does not even work out!
 
WTF...hell NO!!! i prefer classic lines...bis=calves...some would also add neck but 20+ inch neck looks kinda ridiculous, imo...forearms should be smaller than all those previous mentioned
 
Genetics? Do thick calves and forearms, naturally, always go hand in hand?

We've all heard the classic, old school "your arms, calves and neck should be equal". My biceps and calves are equal, but my neck, unflexed, is a couple inches bigger than my flexed upper arms.

Yeah I agree.

I've always thought a good look was arms=calves=neck size.
 
well IMO if your forearms are bigger then your cavles u need to work legs a lot more!!!
 
Its ok if your forearms are a little disproportionate. Some people just have ridiculously freaky bodyparts that stand out a little.

Would anyone remember Tom Platz if he was perfectly symmetrical lol? Who knows:confused:

very true. some people also have ridiculously underdeveloped bodyparts, usually legs, because training them hurts and interferes with 3 times per week chest and arm training

some people think that 'heavy leg training' is extensions, curls and 2 sets of machine calf raises. they usually claim poor genetics

my advice for a lagging body part - train the crap out of it, destroy it, do all sorts of stupid exercises to failure. do this for months and months. only then will you know if its genetics

also Syntherol has a very good reputation on this board, if all else fails or you really have tried everything, Syntherol may be an option

Yeah, your calves should be close to the same as your upper arm and not your forearm! No reason for your calves to be so small.
 
I've always read: Calves = Arms = Neck. My arms are 16.5, neck 16.5, my calves are an inch behind :(
 
One guy in paticular was doing lat pull down with a shit load of weight (shitty form to match) when he finished he went over to the cable rows. It wasn't until he put his feet up to brace himself that i noticed how small his calves were. Im not talking a little smaller than his forearms, the last time i saw legs that skinny they were under a piano.
 
Shit. I have 17 inch calves, if my forearms were bigger I would have to have 22 inch arms. That would be pretty awesome.

unless it's a genetic thing, your calves should be more proportioned to biceps than forearms. This was the Greek ideal. It depends on your goals, symmetry vs Greg valentino'y
 
I honestly can't imagine someone's forearms being bigger than their calves..
