came off my best cycle in jan (test, deca ) best results and smoothest pct. But after cycle my shoulders were a little sore and when i bench press I am limited by slight pain in shoulders and it keeps me from maxing out. so I didnt force it as not to make it worse. but it never got any better. so i mentioned it to my dr., sent me for xrays and there is arthritis in both . he gave me a scipt for some methyiprednisolone pac. which i did and some pys. therapy and said if no help there then we may have to see another dr.I was at my best just before this on cycle. I have not done another cycle since. I am waiting to see if i can get this fixed b4 i do another but I think another test deca may be better than what these drs. can do for me Btw 46 y.o. work constuction 6 2 225

Could you hear or feel any poping noises from your shoulders?

how old are you? Personally I am not a fan of prednisone. I would try other ways to reduce and control the inflammation first.

probably have just been neglecting your shoulders, and if you would start doing more shoulder mobility exercises, they would feel 100x better. And also start really focusing on stretching the pec minor.

If you have arthritis there is nothing you can do and taking meds for it will not help any. You will have to learn how to train around it and stay away from exercises that spark inflammation.

I was diagnosed with it at 30 years old, said I had the shoulder of an 85 year old man it was so bad and my only option is a shoulder replacement in the future and apparently it will be inevitable.

One thing I wish I did earlier was really work on keeping my upper body more flexible, chest and shoulders, it will help being more flexible.

i have the same problem.
how do you train now ? more sets and lighter ?
some aas did reduce the pain ?

i bet your shoulders felt fine being on the deca. are you on trt? maybe a low dose of deca could be incorporated. a friend of mine cruises with 150-200mg deca for this problem.

47 think i wrote 46 just turned

My mistake. Missed that.

I totally agree with this. Once you have arthritis, you will need to think in terms of control and not a "cure". I would reevaluate what you might be doing in the gym to aggravate your shoulder and identify the worst movements. NSAIDS help, but its temporary. Fish oil is a natural antiflam too. I fight the same and my doc says a shoulder replacement is the only option left, but I am not doing it. I am putting that off as long as possible.
I also agree with maintaining flexibility. I wish I had put more effort in on this years ago. I do think that helps.

You need a sports med guy, not a genral prac. An X-ray isn't going to tell you anything. You need an MRI.

bench press is were the most pain occurs what do you do for that?? i have gone light but i cant seam to get at the pecs like i want to high reps not much better

Do any AAS (deca,eq,primo or others) help?
Thanks,
Sd

Deca would lubricate the joints but it won't undo OA.
An ortho that specializes in sports medicine would have
to view both x-ray and MRI films to see what damage
has been done and determin the best course of treatment.
Luckily, I had great surgeon who had worked with the
Health South group performed a hemiarthoplasty on my left shoulder
two years ago. So far, my shoulder is performing well.

i can't find the right training for the upper body.
it's like every week it's worst.
i tried light supersets and medium low sets, once i m warm it's ok but 2 hours later and the day after the pain is heavy

I would get an opinion form a sports doc who specialises in this type of thing. The average doc thinks that lifting weights is a stupid thing to do and generally just tell you to stop training altogther. What do they know?

I,m waiting for a date for my op to get 1 cm taken off my AC joint in right shoulder, I had xray and MRI and a couple of cortisone jabs under xray conditions already.

I cant press anything overhead or do incline bench, the pain is real bad.

My doc reckons 6 weeks out of action and then it should be back to training heavy.

Good luck bro :)

I do agree working with a sports physician is absolutely best… but arthritis shows up very well on an x-ray. The small space between bones should be occupied by a cap of cartilage on each bone. That cartilage is about the thickness of a sheet of paper and extremely slick. When that wears and degenerates, the bones show up on the x-ray as sitting right on top of each other. In other words, at its worst state, the cartilage is worn completely off and the exposed bone is just grinding against bone. In my case, the doctor said after my shoulder surgery, where there should be cartilage, I have a "boney plate" instead. That surgeon is now the head sports doc for a pro football team.

Yes, heavy bench was murder for me. Also, heavy shoulder presses with a bar. Working with dumbells was a big improvement for me.
