Shoulders and Upper Chest Lacking!! 3 days a week ??

Is it possible to workout my upper chest and shoulders 3 times a week. Say Mon Wed Fri ... I need some improvement.. I recover quickly.. Any Opinions..
 
lol of course its possible, ideal...thats another story. whats your chest/delt routines look like?

How long you wanna be in the game???...shoulders get work indirectly.... i'm 43 so for me its all about preservation at this point.... I think that's just asking for an injury.
 
Each body part 1 time a week.
Mon-Back
Tues-Chest
Wed-Legs
Thurs-Tris,bis
Frid-Shoulders

if your not already doing declines..do them. decline bb/db then something else. maybe flies, or another flat pressing movement, and/or dips. i focused on inclines for the longest time after reading the broscience that they were the holy grail for chest. only recently have i realized declines are where its at. the big boys on this board can vouch for me here :D
 
years ago i did a whole body routine three times a week.

squats 135, 225, 315, 405 (belt hard), 495 (belt/knee wrap hardest set).
clean & press
chins
rows
bench
dips
bar curls
calve raises
abs crunch

i did 5x5 but not every set was a working set. see squats above. so basically the 4th set was hard and the 5th to failure.

if i had time i'd toss in some decorative work like laterals or some shit but rarely.

honestly i gained a ton of weight and strength. i was eating a lot so some was fat. although i hit a muscle group 3x/wk i was also resting 4 days a week.

i would like to do it again but just can't spend 90 minutes in the gym 3x/wk ... right now im doing a maxOT routine and in/out in like 35 minutes lol.
 
Yes 3 times a week is definitely doable....you are going to have to really watch your volume though.

Why not try 2-3 work sets every MWF...changing the exercises each day.

M: Incline Press 2 work sets— Side laterals 2 sets
W: Dips 2 work sets— Front raises/rear lateral SS 2 sets
F: Cable crossovers 2-3 work sets— Shoulder press 2 sets


I really think training ANY bodypart everyday can work as long as your realllly watch your volume. My back was its strongest and widest doing 1 set of pullups to failure ED.

Just my 2 cents.

Why dont u train them ala Big Beyond Belief style..... something like
Mon 3-5 sets 12-15 reps
Wed 3-5 sets 10-12 reps
Fri 3-5 sets 6-8 reps

If you keep the same split. I would start by just adding some side lats at the end of your chest workout and on shoulder day make sure your doing a full ext bb shoulder press and at the end of the workout a few sets of bw dips. Good starting point. If its possible also I would switch fri to sat. Just a few suggestions. Hope they help

Day off , after arms I don't think training chest,should is the best idea. Again bro these r only suggestion. I'm just going off your original split. I don't think you need to blow your hole program up just make some minor changes

Well there really isn't a right or wrong answer but just personal preferences. Nope I've never had a problem with doing that
 
3 times a week, too much IMO. If you are going once a week right now, why not just try twice?
