I'm seeing some guys are incredibly ripped on certain bodyparts but not others. For them to get rid of the last ounce of fat in the lagging body parts they have to suffer the time it takes but end up sacrificing muscle in the body parts that already were in shape. Is this a common problem or will the potential muscle loss be evenly distributed throughout the body?

As well the ability to get so conditioned to have paper thin skin, some guys are shredded and see striations everywhere but their skin looks thick, which takes away from the conditioned look.
There was a competitor at my last show, had the best striated glutes of the show yet his abs and lower back looked weeks out, skin was paper thin as well.
