sick of being sick

So what is the longest you've been sick before? I've been sick for 3 weeks...feeling in a fog and stomach bothering me....went to DR last week..took some blood. He said it's a virus...which is self limiting....he told me it's unusual to be sick 3 weeks but not out of the ordinary.
 
Maybe you're going to die:( j/k. I get sick on almost every cycle. Usually just a cold.

If your not satisfied with his opinion,,,see another doctor.

|---[\\\\]>---------- my worst fear. i work in a place where there are interactions with children and grown ups all day long...so i basically carry a btl of hand sanitizer with me all the time...i am constantly cleaning my hands b/c im sooooo paranoid of getting sick.
 
If you are sick on a cycle should you stop or just keep going to your max ???

i think if you have to really drag yourself to the gym and the strength is down then a few days off is best, i wouldn't cancel a cycle for it though
 
i have been battling being sick too, being on does hurt your immune system, i picked up an immune system booster called IMMUMO SHEILD and it has really made me feel alot better i will get the you the details if you are interested
 
If your sick for 2-3 weeks your body is fighting some major bugs.
Its a known medical fact that a child still growing "bone wise", stops growing during major sicknesses. If your sick try a bridge like dosage, if your in the middle of a cycle but as far as training just take some time off. Maybe your body is telling you you need to back off. Humans are not machines. Do every thing in cycles. A high period and a low period...if you don't, your body will make you take time off.
 
agreed da rooster, you need to take time for the nervous system to recover, especially if you are sick. the most common mistake i see with bodybuilders is the never take time to rest the body properly, I remember a few years ago i was training very hard for a long peroid of time and I took a vacation for a week, I didnt have acess to weights but the diet stayed pretty good i came back from vac. and set new p.r's on all of my lifts( my body was severly overtrained), now when I get sick I stay out of the gym untill I feel about 85% back to normal and next few days are usually low on the intensity. a lot of people dont understand that it take the nervous system at least 24hr to recover after a hard workout and until the nervous system is recovered the body will have an extremly difficult time recovering the broken down muscle tissue. I think this is a major reason for delayed onset muscle sorness. The reason so may people have sucess with d.c. style training is for once their body is fully recovering from workouts.
