Sleeping on an air mattress

For 2 months I couldn't fall asleep for shit, 3 or 4 hours a night nothing worked. Then had a bed bugs incident and the mattress and couch went.

I've just been sleeping on an air mattress since then and as soon as I lay on it I'm out. Anyone ever slept better on one of these things? Makes no sense but I'm getting the best sleep of my life and additional naps

I usually give mine a couple extra pumps if I know any tail is coming over that night. As long as they don't go flying off the bed when I jump on the other side, I'm golden.

When I have trouble sleeping, for some reason laying on the floor with my blanket and pillow helps.

This is interesting. I’m up at my parents this weekend. Couldn’t fall asleep in my old bed. Went into the den and slept on this old leather couch with my feet hanging off and slept better than I have in forever. No clue why.

I've always slept best when on a bed roll , cot or air mattress.
I always attributed it to being exhausted from hiking/hunting or working crazy hours in extreme stress.

If i start having bad sleep and increased aches in my back i figure it is time for a new mattress. A very firm one is best for me. When i first lay down it may not feel great but i sleep better with really firm. For guys that are heavier then most the mattress will wear out sooner..

I paid $500 for a memory foam mattress that is thick. Best $500 I ever spent for a mattress. Sleep like a baby.

From my experience maybe i had the wrong color bottle as i don't remember waking up feeling great wanting to take on the day after downing a bottle of Jack.

We’ll just a tip here…. Whenever you go into a mattress firm, bedding plus, or something similar they have their great beds out in the open. Costs will range from $2K-$6K; possibly more too. Mine was $2500, but paid $3000 with taxes. These same stores have a back room where they have “budget” mattresses from $300-$1000. They won’t advertise this so you’ll have to ask where’s their more budget friendly mattresses. Just an fyi!
