So kind of an odd question. I've always had an "innie" although I've noticed the top part of my belly button starting to stick out a little. Nothing grotesque, but it's there.
I started nothing around March but didn't pay much thought to it since I was leaning out and figured that was just a result of getting down near single digit body fat. However this was after starting gh 4iu grey tops late February.
Now after having been bulking the past 6+ weeks, it's still noticeable, and if anything it's a little more so. Could this be a side effect of gh? Hoping I'm just freaking myself out. Either way I dropped the gh now out of concern

Could be the start of a hernia, be careful with that. Also you might just be accumulating more fat in that area with your bulk. I take GH too, and keeping yourself leaning seems to eliminate that for me. I would not blame the GH unless you are taking an excessive amount.

It's the beginning of an umbilical hernia. Mine took awhile to progress to the point of needing surgery. Be careful. If you intestines pop out you have a half hour to get into surgery or you die. Go get a consultation with a hernia specialist. This guy is the best:

Well that's less than awesome news... Especially for someone with no health insurance. No possibility it could be anything else?
What would your recommendations be for self help? Wear a lifting belt to keep pressure there?

Gh wasn't excessive, 4iu ed during my cut, and y
10iu 3x a week during my bulk.

Get health insurance and go to the doctor. Not worth risking your health.

Its funny this thread was made bc I was havin an exact similar situation.. No gh but recently tried goin with extreme doses to see how id respond and i wasnt sure if it was possibly distention from a big increase in food or what. I feel no pain in it and its way less noticeable on an empty stomach. I was thinkin umbilical hernia and will get it checked. But have u ever noticed lots of the big bodybuilders have weird bellybuttons? I guess i was hopin mine was a side effect of becomin a freak lol but the truth is prob the hernia :(

dude I have the same thing...push on it and you should be able to feel the hole in your stomach muscle.i mean you should be able to push your belly button thru the hole.

a half hour???no shit???ive been livin with mine for a year now...and it hasn't gotten any worse.
im 44 and never had surgery...and I don't want to.

I had the same thing. Had it checked and it wasn't a hernia. For what it's worth, I've been on GH for a while.

Wrap a towel around the weight lifting belt with strong pressure over the belly button. Wear the belt backwards so the wise part is over your belly for extra support. Try not to strain you mid section or push your stomach out while lifting. Stick to isolation exercises.

If it gets bad set up a fund for people to donate for your surgery.

I lived with mine for a few years. It eventually looked like a finger sticking out of my belly and it felt very uncomfortable. Just be careful not to strain your stomach too hard.

It is very common among bodybuilders. I always see at least one guy with an umbilical hernia on stage. That's where I learned what it was. A guy working back stage told me what I had.

currently have the same thing....consult with a surgeon and they will inform you of the severity. I have had mine for years but you need to be careful and wear a belt until its corrected

I lived with mine for years too just decided to have it fixed last year. I noticed it was starting to stick out more when I was preparing for a show and didn't like how it was looking.

Well after having just started DC training a few weeks ago, that may be near impossible, so I'll have to switch back to more conventional training methods. Damn, this sucks

How docs diagnose this type of hernia?? Is it the doc grabs your balls and cough test??

Mine has been much more distended than that (on one side) for years, and the docs say it's no problem. So don't worry. If it gets really big to the point where you can push it back in, surgery may be an option, but even then it is not life-threatening at all. So just mention it to your doc the next time you are there, but otherwise relax.

I think this has happened to me too

I was doing seated cable tricep over heads and I felt a pop (no pain) in my abs, this was a year ago an my bf was high, now am lean and my abs don't look the same. It's like the skin is not attached to the ab muscles, it's smooth across the abs above my belly button plus my button is sticking right out, iv started wearing a belt every weight session but it does feel like it's sticking back and ripping back off every time I bend down,

When I lie down and try pull myself up it looks horrible, not to bad looking from standing but still looks shit, I wanted to compete next year too but iv ruined my mid section
