Slin and water retention

Who here notices instant water retention from slin (novolin-r)? And if so, would humalog be any better since its in and out quicker?
 
I've always noticed it with both. Im 219lbs right now and pretty lean/cut/vascular. 2 days of slin and I'll be a tank. I've tried to run it several different ways. Not saying any of them were correct.
 
I know it can cause water retention but it was pretty much instantly. Mainly can tell from a little edema in the ankles (but thats from work as well and being on my feet all day) but the main issue is the lower back pumps from the water.

Only doing 2iu meal 1, 2iu meal 5, 4iu post-workout. Been only 3 days now.
 
What do most ppl take more of when they use insulin..carbs..do carbs retain water...yes...whoa your muscles are full of glycogen and intracellular water.

Obviously im being a smart ass here but, cmon..you already knew the answer to your question.
 
I agree but I’m still below 200 grams carbs. I haven’t added any additional carbs to diet besides 25g intra. Just came off extreme diet with only 100g carbs pre and post. Slowly added carbs then started adding small dose of slin.

Just was curious if others noticed it so quick as I have, specifically back pumps from water.

I get your point and what you’re saying. What I’m getting at is, slin being used in the past gradually work up the dose and even now introducing it in at low dose, and back pumps are present already. I guess my question is, for those who run slin, what’s your protocol or dose you can use before noticing all the water retention?

Maybe the better question, will the body adapt and gradually drop water if carbs are kept at same intake and not increasing slin dose?

I’d like to try humalog and see if there any difference. I wouldn’t think so, but it being faster acting, it could be possible.
