Slin pins for I.M injections

Slin pins only come in 1/2 inch for 27g and higher, is that too short for I.m injection in delts, quads, triceps, calves and so forth. I've been doing it for a while now with no issues, but keep being told its too short. Burying a 1/2 inch needle seems deep enough to me if your body fat is decently low. What's your opinions on this and has anyone had issues?

If you're lean there should be no issue with it.

I use 27 gauge at 1.5in.... Believe it or not Im pretty lean, I just like them long

Purchase Needles separate from syringe.. this way I can draw up with larger gauge...

Been using them for a couple of years now. Average sit about 11-12% so not crazy lean but reasonable. Never had a problem

Even if it's going partially sub q it'll still be effective. I love 29g pins as I never get any soreness anymore.

Lately I've been using 27g .5 to backload 29g .5, needle stays sharp and everything is perfectly dosed. I also use 27g .5 to backload 3ml needles for the glutes.

29 x .5 I think is perfect. Also you have to learn how to back load them properly by pulling the plunger out and loading with a bigger size syringe and needle because trying to load then up the regular way will not happen!

How does your slin pins come, over there?

In my country I just buy some 1cc's and use 23 to pull and 29 to push, no problems there and no backloading.

Slin pins are generally a complete unit with syringe moulded to the needle part. You can do it the way you are saying but I also find using slin needles you have less wastage of gear left over in the syringe.
Back loading is easy. You just pull the plunger out, fill the slin needle with a thicker gauge needle and then slowly refit the plunger, then turn the slin needle so the pin is facing upwards, the let the air bubble rise to the pin end and the push the plunger up.... Done
