smith machine front squats?

Ive been tryn to add front squats into my leg workout
I try them in the regualr squat rack but my form still needs work
I now their easier in the smith machine anyone do them
Their with results is it the same?
 
Front squats in the smith machine work just fine do not go to crazy on the weight and go for sets of 15 to 20....You def will feel the burn!
 
I like them performed late in the workout on a Smith machine. Get nice and deep and don't lock out at the top. The pump is ridiculous.
 
I also have found that moving my feet forward so i am actually coming down at an angle is the best for me and hammers my quads. Go ass to heels !!!
 
Smith machine is a terrible piece of equipment, I find it useful for calve raises but that's about it. Just start with a light weight and slowly build up your strength over time. It takes a little time to build muscle coordination

No its not. Its great for getting your form down for squats. I have been doing squats 1.5s on it. You can get a great burn..and your form is perfect!
 
If you are doing Front squats I would sugest doing sets of 5 until to you work up to a set where you struggle to get 5. I also do mine elevated on 2x4. I think the smith machine can have its place for high rep front squats. Why dont incoporate both of them for the best of both worlds? Work up to your heavy set on front squats then go over to the smith machine and rep out 20 rep burner.....
