Speaking of army doctors, one of the guys in my unit got hospitalized for injuring his ankle, nothing serious though. He said the next day in the hospital a nurse came in and washed him and started shaving his abdomen. Then they started wheeling him down the hall so he asked them where they were taking him. They said they were taking him to surgery to remove his appendix. He was like what the hell, why? Turns out they had mixed up his paper work with another patient with appendicitis who probably got dismissed with an ace bandage on his foot.
