Definitely. The only reason my son has a gaming system is that someone bought him one for his birthday. And he knows it's a treat to play it, not a right. Last night I had him pedaling on the spin bike the whole time he played Call of Duty.I have often wondered this myself when it comes to "Gaming". My nephews have grown up with a gaming system in every room of their house and I can't tell you the amount of hours that have been wasted sitting in front of that thing.
My own brother who is 40 does the same thing.
And regarding this discussion in general... Yeah, social media is a problem... But really, it's smart phones (more specifically, constant and easy access to the internet) that is the root of the problem. That's what creates the instant gratification problem. Information and entertainment at your fingertips effortlessly. No need to use one's imagination. I myself have had to force myself to put down the phone and pick up a book instead.
On a side note, I also believe that chiropractors will be in high demand as these millenials get older. Ever pay attention to the slumped, neck-forward posture that people have adopted? And they'll do this while walking down the damn street. My wife's little sister broke her ankle stepping off a curb while hunched over her phone.
