sodium chloride flushing

Anyone think of a reason injectable sodium chloride 0.9% would cause a reaction that feels like low blood sugar ? Or kind of a flushing feeling of sorts?

No; it won't. nurses IV flush medications with sodium chloride all the time. if it causes such thing; it won't be used

There are patients that say it does that, and there are patients that say it has a taste akin to sucking on a penny.

It's a larger population that have none of these feelings but they are common enough.

I would also ask what the temperature of the flush solution was.

Supplier sent me bacteriostatic sodium chloride, instead of regular bacteriostatic water and awhile ago when I used it with gh it caused this effect. Felt just like I had an immediate big drop of blood sugar, shakiness, sweating, flushing skin and this was only from a subcutaneous 0.2cc!
Could the benzyl alcohol in it cause this if it was inadvertently in a vein?
