I've read (maybe forum broscience) that IGF-1 levels will be roughly 100 points per 1 IU of HGH administered (e.g. 4 IU = 400 IGF-1 level). Is this a linear scale or is there a general amount where additional HGH won't result in the same amount of IGF-1 production (i.e. diminishing returns)? If so, how diminished are the returns?
I've read that HGH has to be converted into IGF-1 in the liver. Would this mean that at a certain point, additional HGH wouldn't result in any increase of IGF-1? If so, is there any added benefit of additional HGH?
For the sake of argument, let's say that Bob's Styrofoam top HGH doesn't convert into IGF-1 so there is no rise of IGF-1 levels. Is that completely useless HGH then? Is the only reason HGH isn't worthless is because it causes IGF-1 levels to rise?
