Just out of interest shelby have you ever tried Olympic weightlifting shoes for squats. I've been using them recently and they have been brilliant for stability.

I haven't tried them, I'll look into it. I have a great pair of Nikes that I wear for leg and calf training... very thick sole and very stable. Thanks!

2-ply. I don't think they make them anymore though.
 
Jesus, that leg workout would cripple me, literally lol.

I do one heavy set for squats after a couple warmups and I'm sore for days...

Why no use of isolation movements such as quad extesnions or ham adductions? also, the chains, is this to keep weight over center of gravity? and thoughts on using chains with barbell lunges, changing force over distance to stress the muscle at correct time (like with squats). btw, nice to see another bodybuiler with glasses ;) thanks for your time!

We do leg extensions and the adductor machine pretty often, just not in this workout. The chains were per John Meadows suggestion... they do seem to give a different feel as compared to dumbbells. As for chains on barbell lunges, I doubt that would work very well.

do you squat so shallow to keep it more in the quads?I not talkin shit just wondering?I always hear deep ass to the ground but alot of the pros keep it partial and I have started the huh reps for arms 1 month ago and have made the biggest gains I have ever!

Yes I do it more for quad stimulation but it still hits the hams and glutes hard too.
John Meadows squats to about the same depth and if you've ever seen his legs, they are nothing to question. We do plenty of other work for glutes and hams too.

Great job on those squats. Love the squeeze, not lockout at the top. Drastically intensifies the movement. Thats how is done fellas.
