I know alot of people like to use a slight wedge to elevate their heels when squatting or toes when doing deadlift for hams.
I've built several for several gym I go to but alot of people are asking where to get them.
So rather than add more to my plate does anyone know an company that sells a solid heavy duty wedge.??
I've seen some "hard foam" ones and multiple piece plastic ones but I'm looking for something simple and very solid.
This is what I've been making , it's 24"wide , 8" deep and 2.5" tall 7057 aluminum.
Just wanted to find something similar to point people at

Easy to find on the internet. You have probably looked already. Just get a good one, metal, and a name brand you can trust. Sorry, can’t recommend any particular one.

I think I got mine from Dr. Squat, Fred Hatfield. It’s been years. Don’t know if he still makes them. For squats, it was the only thing that didn’t kill my back.

Every major fitness equipment manufacturer makes them - Prime, Rogue, etc. If you want something cheaper there are plenty of knockoffs on Amazon.

I built mine out of some scrap lumber I had for a remodel..I noticed a lot of positive benefits from it

Yep, I got a knockoff from amazon

You remember which one ??
The few I've seen on Amazon were plastic or smaller two piece units.

Mine I smaller two piece units, but that's what I wanted.

As a bodybuilder who identifies as a Rodent, I may have a slight bias on this subject....

Mine are two smaller pieces, I have the iron bull squat wedge. I feel they are overpriced for what they are but they are definitely sturdy and don't slip or anything like that. So far had no issues other than feeling like I overpaid for a name brand.

Have used 10 and 5lbs plates, a 2x4 and all kinds. I don't really favor evevated heal much in my training anymore and tend toward Chuck Taylor's but I have a good pair of Adidas Oly Shoes which would be my go to for a tight and locked in solution.

Why not just use Olympic lifting shoes. All the pairs Iv used elevate your heel.
Sometimes we use the wedge backwards to elevate the toes when doing RDLs.

He died years ago... (Just an FYI).

I bit the bullet and bought some powerflifting shoes. I had a wedge that was ok but I prefer the shoes much more. Now you also may be looking to wedge in the front or a very steep angle so it would make sense to get these. Amazon has a bunch and if you read reviews you will get a good sense of their sturdiness. Most come as two separate pieces.
