Who ever thought I would do that.
I am a fan of body-builders, ever since I met Troy Thomas and Victor Martinez.
They came to Miami Beach, at a restaurant I worked at.
I met so many people there I wrote a book.
It's called "THE THINGS I GET AWAY WITH".
Anyway I took a friends son to the store to buy some food, I handed him a gallon of milk and he couldn't carry it.
I told him at 12 years old you should be able to curl it with one hand like this.
I did about ten curls....
The next day I couldn't move my arm.
I am 53 not 103.
So I did what they do in jail.
I took two empty milk jugs filled them with water and started working out.
Every single exercise I try causes me a lot of pain.
I tried pull ups.
I pulled a muscle in my stomach,
I tried calf raises I pulled the syatic nerve.
I couldn't walk for 3 weeks.
It's so discouraging, working out for weeks and months and barely seeing any results.
The pain of bodybuilding isn't the problem.
It's that I started so late, and try to do a lot more than I am capable of.
I'm not Superman, and not trying to be the next Mighty Mouse either,
lol
I am small 5'8" 130lbs, 29" waist.
I am not able to go to a gym because I know I would be talking instead of working out, I had a friend give me these rubber bands, and they seem to be working.
It's slow going, and it has to be that way.
I never would ever thought I of all people would be working out for sure.
So it's a journey, I will keep you up dated, and post some pics when it looks like I matter, right now I am just a skinny old man trying to work out.
But my arms and chest seem to be getting bigger.
It's been since Nov.08.
I understand why steroids is an option it's so discouraging to work out for months, and not see anything!

Well justmeles, It's never too late to start working out. But it does sound as if you need to start very slowly. It's most advisable that you see your physician to run all of the standard tests, from the sounds of it, you are not overweight. I'm not sure how healthy your heart is and what kind of background you have in physical activities.

But in either event, you do have to start slowly. I took a 7 year layoff and when I started working out again two years ago, I started a little too fast and I had 3 quick injuries, and that's that I knew better. So I backed off a bit, today, I'm about to the strongest that I've ever been. Granted that I'm only 35, but there are a lot of members on this board over 50 who look great, stick around and read some of their posts, look at their pics and follow some of their advice, very inspiring stuff.

Good luck, keep safe and stick with it.

Being close to your age(49), let me give you advice: START OUT SLOW AT 53. Not once did you mention diet and you could be overtraining, but without seeing a routine, who knows? Muscle gains do not happen overnight, it can take some years, depending on genetics. The good news is that you are making the effort. As far as AAS, go to your doctor to get bloodwork, get your test levels checked. You could qualify for HRT and your insurance would pay for it.(most of time.) Never give up and stay consistant, you might not being seeing the muscle gains, but I know your heart is thanking you. There is also real qualified trainers on this site, for a small fee, will train you.

working out

My diet is just a normal one eggs and toast and home fries in olive oil.
I usually eat breakfast every other day, and a big meal at night.
Like a chicken breast 3 baked potatoes, and a can of corn.
Or a pkg of broccoli.
I am a little guy but eat a lot.
Never have to worry about my weight.
I weigh 132 it's the most I have ever weighed.
from 21yrs.-52yrs.
I have been at 120lbs
