It sounds like you have much the same situation I have. I have three older grown kids and a wife that is 22 years younger than I am. The first 5 years we were together I worked my ass off making a great living until a serious health issue came along requiring open heart surgery (not a heart attack). Since then it just worked out that I stayed home with the girls. I think my wife wanted it this way all along. She likes being the big bread winner, though I do have a very good pension to add to our income--30 years in a trade.
You are going to be busy for at least the first 5 years but it's worth it.
I appreciate everyones post so far...I will be a stay at home dad, my wife and I are going to have 2 babies in a couple of years. She is much younger than me. My other kids are pretty much grown.
Im an experienced dad, but its been along time since I had babies around me full time. This may or may not work out, I may have to switch and me work, but for now the plan is me at home with the babies when it happens.
