Sterilizing EO

I have never done this before so i thought i would ask.
Is it ok to use the traditional heat method which i prefer to sterilze Ethyl Oleate or should i just use a whatmans filter. If i should use a whatmans what micron should i use the .22 or .45

Running gear through a filter won't sterilize it. I used to pop two 23 ga needles into the top of the vile and bake homebrew to ensure it was sterile. Correct me if I'm wrong.

baking it will not sterilize it. I would filter it with a 0.45 micron filter, it is small enough to filter out all particulate matter and it will filter out all but the smallest of bacteria. Then you must add at least 1% ba to the mix to keep it bacteriostatic. If you 0.22 micron filter the EO it will be sterile as all the bacteria will be filtered out, you still need ba though to keep it that way.
