I have a stiff bar and no bar jack, and my gym has both lol.You dont have a regular bar at home ?

Once I got a bigger space for a home gym, first thing I did was get a full size jack. Yeah, awkward piece to store without giant box commerical gym walls and essentially a luxury item but what a great luxury.I have a stiff bar and no bar jack, and my gym has both lol.
I like deadlifting with an actual DL bar, and I hate loading plates (my trap bar has a built in jack), so I don’t straight bar dead at home
But yeah lol I know man. All good
Looking great brother. nic decade long work.I posted this in another thread, but wanted to throw it out here.
Air Force pic is me at 20, lifting 4-5 week, eating 150g of protein at around 160lbs. I think I actually trained/lifted more often than I do now, pretty much all I did was lift in my free time.
It’s important to note that my frame in that pic is the body frame of everyone in my family - very skinny. Endurance athletes, everyone does ultra marathons or distance cycling.
Other pic is me now, 220 lbs, after a decade of gear. I can still bang out a 6 minute mile in a pinch, but I also can pull a 600+ lb deadlift cold any day of the year, and am generally strong as hell.
Just funny how transformative this stuff is.
Inb4 “you coulda done this natty”
Yeah, I know, but I’d be weaker, fluffier, and had less fun.
Damn, I was dosing the Cell-Tech e3d, that’s where I went wrongYou could've accomplished the same thing with just Cell-Tech(eod), HotStuff and a little Deer Antler Velvet! Steroids...smh! Really bro...really!?
I played soccer for about 15 years, that shit will hang a set of lungs on you. Still do 30-60 of cardio daily too, I keep that athleticism up because once it slips… it’s gone lol.6 min mile in a bodybuilder!?! And a 6 hundo+ deadlift! Thats the difference between a true athlete, and everyone else lol
Dude, I can't do anything for 6 mins straight without a break and a sandwich. Just ask my wife! And I'm just a little guy at a whopping 198 lbs...lean and muscular sure, but dollar menu lung capacity like the 300 lbs manager over at Dunkin Donuts...
...i like that guy. He knows his donuts.

This young man I am working with plays soccer, played at the collegiate level.Soccer players = exemplary lung capacity and usually excellent calves too

Exceptional endurance and extraordinary calves, perhaps the best I have seen.
Cause or effect?
It’s an effect of soccer.
Years and years of tempo runs, sprints, plyo.
Shitty soccer teams run themselves ragged, but with quality teams that know how to play you see the players casually jogging around the field, with occasional redline sprints and jumps. It’s HIIT for 90+ minutes.
Fair point. You’re right. No idea. Then why doesn’t everybody who does the above, have exceptional calves?
That fasted runners in the world do not have calves in proportion to their accomplishments.
Playing devils advocate, sort of . . .
Probably for the same reason two guys follow the same excellent, well engineered training program and one grows like weed while the other barely makes some minor gains. Then why doesn’t everybody who does the above, have exceptional calves?
Damn man huge transformationDug through some old photos, tried to get as close to one year apart as possible.
May 15 June 2005 - holding the condoms (116 pounds at 5’11)
May 17 June 2007 - riding the kiwi (210ish)
May 22 June 2008 - poodle skirt (225ish)
May 19 June 2010 - Deployment (190ish)
Now this is impressive. I'm assuming you don't have any BP issues?I played soccer for about 15 years, that shit will hang a set of lungs on you. Still do 30-60 of cardio daily too, I keep that athleticism up because once it slips… it’s gone lol.
