Strange split

Would like some opinions on a new split, my job is 6 on 4 off so would a split over ten days work?
Maybe 3 on 1 off
2on 4 off then start again???

Would have a couple days of one group p/day and a couple where am doin 2 x smaller muscle groups p/day.
Would hammer them for 3/4-1 hr .

Not really sure what you're asking here?!?! :confused:

A workout program is based on workout days and rest days. Sometimes, this coincides with a week (7-days). What does your work schedule have to do with anything?
 
Lol i was busting for a leak when i wrote that, lemme try again.

So i just started a new job and i work shifts as follows;
2x earlys
2x lates
2x nights
followed by 4 days off so my "week" is effectivly 10 days long. Could i schedule my split around that working out 5 out of my 6 work days with a day rest in the middle then 4 days rest befor starting again.
I ask because the common split works around a 7 day week but mine is 10. Is this too long between working a muscle?
Second part was about the type of workout each muscle gets ie short and sweet, or a right hammering because it will get loads of rest.

Hmm not entirely sure that makes any more sense but hopefully you get the idea.

Oh and my work has to do with it because it is shifts and i will be sleeping funny times so if i can make it regular it would help.
 
If I was you I would divide my workout schedule to working out on your two early days and the 7 day of the week when you are off. Then the last two of the 4days you are off and the first early day. Just get in 3 workout days every seven you should be fine. MM
