Strategies to Manage Hunger while dieting?

Lol so true brother. People think it's super easy to lose muscle if God forbid they don't eat for an extended period and fast longer than most people do; around 12 to 14 hours being more of the common non eating length. I use to have that bro mentality back in the day too.

I eat 1 to 2 times a day and sometimes go 48 hours. This was a few weeks ago of 1 meal a day for a few weeks but usually it's a few days of 2 meals (18 hr fast) and a few days of 1meal (24 hour fast) over a 7 day period. I'm also fully keto:View attachment 92106

That arm blaster is amazing, it was only like $15 on bodybuilding.com two weeks ago they had some big clearance sale.

Because of all my shoulder surgery and injuries for whatever reason I can never feel my biceps working even when I'm working out I don't hit them properly anymore because of that so I finally found something that works so yeah my arms are blown up during workout with that thing and I was sore for like a week

I really don't recommend a 48-hour fast for most people unless you're doing it for health reasons and trying to maximize autophagy, ampk, etc... I think 24 hours is more than adequate for most people's goals. I was having an issue with digestion, I think it's called esophageal dysphagia where I always felt like I had food stuck in my throat.

So after those 48 Hours it was pretty much all wiped out, a problem I was having for months so it's amazing what a fast like that can do. I was also screwing up the last week of my diet when I went on vacation so I utilize that tool as well and I think I dropped like another 5 pounds of scale weight and felt great over the next week.

Because I've been doing this so long I don't really need any sort of tricks or tools to get me through the fast though I can tell you in the past coffee and or diet sodas would help me probably more mentally than anything . after you get past 36 hours it's a breeze and you're actually not hungry anymore, it's wicked.

Lol yeah man. You should see my carb up days foodporn that shit is epic that's when I get the most responses especially from those kids in those IIFYM - If It Fits your Macros groups and IG people lol.

I'm not due for another carb up for a good week or so.... I had to take a break because I was extending those carb ups just out of lack of willpower and one day turned into 5 days LOL

I love IF, been doing it since 2011 and never noticed any hindrance of muscle growth compared to eating all day.

But let's not pretend that something our ancestors did can't be bad for muscle growth lol plenty of our ancestors ate a mostly low protein diet and frequently ran long distances :rolleyes: doesn't mean that wouldn't hurt potential muscle growth.

For me, I don't think I see superior results with IF either, it's just incredibly convenient and provides more satiety while dieting.
