Strip search case

i just found this story sickening.

i know when i was in school if anyone tried to search me i would just walk out of the school. where they can not do anything legally.

I agree completely... it would be understandable if they were looking for Opium/Morphine/Codeine/Heroin/Barbiturates/Benzodiazepines/ etc something that would be of actual concern to the students but truth be told looking for ibuprofen?

The school will lose this one, hell, law enforcement cannot even question your child without the consent and often presence of the adult parents, let alone strip search a minor, and have a lawyer present if requested. The school obviously violated the students rights without due process and without giving the student an opportunity to have her parents present and consult with legal counsel. The Supreme Court will not uphold any law that allows school officials, and I use that word loosely, to strip search minors without due process and the parents notified and present. I suppose the schools want to be law enforcement rather than teachers and administrators, terrible really given our educational rankings in the world.

Regardless of circumstances, if ANYONE did that to my kids...they would have two court cases...me being tried on assault!!!

Reminds me of the Idiot McDonalds Manager that Striped that girl down in the Office cause a Cop on the phone told him to, and the guy wasn't even a Cop.She walked away with Millions, and this girl will to and I don't blame her.

Actually, a law enforcment officer can do a partial search, such as patting down and searching bags, purses, what not. Granted a femaqle officer with a female minor. IF, and I mean IF there is reason for suspicion.

Of course the parents are limited with any legal recourse. As far as removing undergarments???? No, and especially school officials!!!
She should be proud. Shes rich, provided her parents are smart enough to sue.

Kinda funny how in 2nd grade I remember a kid saying the words "Mother Fucker". Wanna know what my 65 year old female teacher handled it??? She put the kid in a headlock and jammed a bar of soap in and out of his mouth in front of the whole class. The kid was crying and had massive amounts of soap between his teeth. This was standard treatment of students back then-along with beatings on the ass with a giant paddle. An incident like this today would land the same teacher in jail and the school would be sued. Times surely have changed.

Ah the good old days! When I was in school they still wack you wth a paddle up to twelth grade. I had one teacher take a chalk pointer stick and break it over my back. They made you were gum on your nose, for chewing it in school. I saw one teacher drag a girl down the hall by her hair. I do however do not believe doing a strip serach, without parents present!! Sounds like this teacher could be a possible pediphile!

Rage....

All I can think about is rage when I read this b/c I have to little girls that I love more then life and I can't even possibly imagine my daughters ever going through that.

As stupid and idiotic as it would be..........there would be retaliation. Since I have no prior anything, I would gladly pay their dental bills and take the assualt and batt charge to get my hands on the person who was responsible for ok'ing that.

It makes me sick to even think about.

I've had teachers in my past who were mean, unfair and singled out particular kids for no good reason. I certainly wouldn't want my kids subject to corporal punishment by some of those sadistic POS.

If an adult does something wrong you are not allowed to hit them. And we teach children that they shoud not hit each other because that is not how you deal with problems. So if that is the case between adults and adults and kids and kids then why should an adult be allowed to hit a child?
